I was raised on the shores of Lake Erie in a small working class town. I studied political science and Spanish at Hiram College in Ohio and then headed to Emory University in Atlanta for graduate studies in theology and philosophy.
For 20 years my leadership was focused in the mainline church serving as a minister and judicatory leader. I learned through multiple experiences the joys and pitfalls of leadership, organizational development and change. For a short time I also worked as a consultant with the treasury department at Nike. In 2012 I began my work as a coach and really found my groove. I love this work!
I am a published author and continue to travel throughout North America speaking on the future of the church in a post-modern world. I am on the faculty of Missional Wisdom Foundation and have taught at Vancouver School of Theology.
I renew by walking in the woods and practicing yoga. I love to listen to podcasts and dance to funky music. I enjoy a good cocktail and stimulating conversation. I live with my husband in Portland, Oregon and follow our two globetrotting daughters on Instagram.
